A Bargain

These are photos of the fab kit I bought at Costco over Christmas. It came in a HUGE box and just asked to be gazed at lovingly. It cost £29.95 for a whole sack full of goodies in bluey/greeny/browny/orangey shades. The first picture is of the mulberry set which they didn't have in stock but I got this photo from UKScrappers so you could see what was in the set better.
It consisted of two albums, one 12x12 and one 8x8 in blue/brown suede effect. A pack of chipboard words, 12 stamps, metal and enamel embellishments- in a little storage box, 6 packs of eyelets, ribbon/fibres, sticky tape, pack of flowers and a pack of huge flowers, a pack of 12x12 card & paper and an inkpad. All these are co-ordinated and will look fab when put together.
Unlike normal times when I just stash new purchases away with the rest of my vast excess of craft suplies and forget I have it, I am going to keep it all together and use it with the albums. I have an album to do for Mick's Dad's 80th Birthday in March and it will be perfect.
Don;t know if Costco have any left but it is a fab bargain!

Crop - 27th January 2008
Hi Girls,
I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year and are eager to get started on another year of scrapping with your friends.
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF CROP DATE TO - SUNDAY 27TH JANUARY 2008
We are sorry that the date has to be changed but this is due to the Isabella Centre not being available on the 20th. All the others dates for the year are as previously planned.
CLASS PROJECT:
We are busy putting together a list of projects for the coming year and to get you started our first project will be a double page scrapbook layout called “Christmas Memories”. This will be a great layout to remember some of your favorite Christmas memories. Some ideas for your layout would be your Christmas gifts, decorations, family get-togethers, opening your presents or just something to remind you of Christmas (anything goes). But there is a catch, you need to do some journaling to go with your photo’s. Here is a sneak preview of the project.

Supplies Required:
· Approx 9 - 2½”x2½” photos (but this size is not crucial as the layout can be altered to suit your own photo’s).
· 2 - 12x12 sheets of plain cardstock (same colour).
· 3 co-ordinating pieces of patterned paper/cardstock (Christmas designs would be nice), you do not need whole sheets as long as one piece is 12” wide.
· 2 co-ordinating pieces of narrow ribbon (approx 4” each).
· 1 - 12” piece of wider co-ordinating ribbon.
· Large lettering/numbers to spell the word Christmas and 07 e.g rub-ons, stickers, rubber stamps, chipboard, die-cut or hand cut from co-ordinating cardstock.
· Journaling block needs to measure approx 6” wide x 3½” deep - your can write/type this at home on a plain piece of paper or cardstock, leave at least a ½” margin all the way round.
We will have a small number of Cosmo Cricket Christmas Paper kits for sale on a first come first served basis.
MEMBERSHIP SCHEME:
As discussed at our meeting in October, we will be starting our membership scheme with an annual fee of £5 (£3 for the
Looking forward to seeing you on the 27th January.

Christmas Crop - 16th December

Don't forget the next crop on the 16th December is our Christmas Party - 10.00am - 4.00pm. We won't be holding a class this time, but this is an ideal opportunity for you to bring along those unfinished projects/pages you keep promising yourself you would finish.
In order to get into the Christmas Party spirit (non alcoholic of course) we are asking everyone to bring something to eat and don't forget to wear your party hat.
We have organised a BRAN TUB the cost is £5 per person and there are some gorgeous gifts .. enough said .. Chris will kill me if I say any more. Would everyone who would like to take part in the bran tub let us know by e-mailing us so we can make sure we have enough gifts.
I won't be at the next crop as I'm off on a cruise down the Nile .. but I will be thinking of you all and hope you have a great party.

Production Line

The stamp is an image from http://www.laviniastamps.co.uk/ and I got this one at the NEC. She recommends using Versafine ink pads as they really pick out the fine detail.
After embossing with clear powder I added some tiny specks of glitter glue and matted onto glitter card. Now just need to write and post them!
