Christmas Crop - 16th December

Don't forget the next crop on the 16th December is our Christmas Party - 10.00am - 4.00pm. We won't be holding a class this time, but this is an ideal opportunity for you to bring along those unfinished projects/pages you keep promising yourself you would finish.

In order to get into the Christmas Party spirit (non alcoholic of course) we are asking everyone to bring something to eat and don't forget to wear your party hat.

We have organised a BRAN TUB the cost is £5 per person and there are some gorgeous gifts .. enough said .. Chris will kill me if I say any more. Would everyone who would like to take part in the bran tub let us know by e-mailing us so we can make sure we have enough gifts.

I won't be at the next crop as I'm off on a cruise down the Nile .. but I will be thinking of you all and hope you have a great party.

TO YOU ALL .. Jackie*

Production Line

Have just returned from the crop having had a very productive couple of hours making my Christmas Cards. Very pleased with the results too. Here are couple of pics. Fraid they aren't as clear as I'd like but you can get the idea.
The stamp is an image from http://www.laviniastamps.co.uk/ and I got this one at the NEC. She recommends using Versafine ink pads as they really pick out the fine detail.

After embossing with clear powder I added some tiny specks of glitter glue and matted onto glitter card. Now just need to write and post them!

Next Crop - 25th November

I hope you all had a good time at the NEC but before you get a chance to put all your goodies away, here's some info about our next crop.

Margery is going to teach/demonstrate how to make a Three Dimensional Box, and listed below are the supplies you will need to bring:

1 sheet 12x12 cadstock
up to 8 photo's to fit 3"x3" pages
Ribbon - at least 20"
Co-ordinating paper(s)
Embellishments - not too bulky
Tags are an option for decorating, so you may want to bring pieces of matching or co-ordinating cardstock and extra ribbon

If you have any questions please let us know.

I will be sending out an e-mail/letter to everyone later in the week as a reminder.

Don't forget we still need ideas for tools etc for the crop and if their are any projects etc you would like us to teach/demonstrate during the coming year. We are going to try and be a bit more organised, so please let us know so we can add them to our list.

Thanks... Jackie

NEC - idea for the bus!

Had an idea! It's a long time on the bus so why not bring along a small notebook and a few pens/pencils etc and you can do some art journaling on the way - or any other journaling for that matter.

I have a link on my blog to a guy who 'doodles' while on planes etc to while away the time.

I'll be taking mine with me - so no peeking over my shoulder!

Less than a week to go I hope you have your shopping lists done! I’ve got a few things on mine, going to look for a few bargains too. I fancy a Bind it All but need to check out the prices, may just add it to my Christmas list if I can wait that long.

Don’t forget the bus leaves at 6.00am on Saturday - nice and early, but we will have a stop on the way to get a coffee for Chris and a visit to the you know where.

If anyone would like to be able to create a post on here just let me know, otherwise just post your comments at the end of this post and they can be viewed by all. We need lots of suggestions for this site so please feel free to make as many as you like, or if you have a favourite store or if you see a bargain please let us know and we’ll create a post to share with everyone.

Hope you all had a good weekend… don’t forget to let us have your comments, just click the comments line below and if you aren’t registered with Google just choose your identity as “anonymous” and you don’t need to register.

Look forward to hearing from you…. Jackie
