Saturday 14 March 2009

Next Crop - 29th March

Its time to remind you all that the next crop is on Sunday 29th March, hope you can all come and join your friends for a fun day of scrapping.

Following on from the members request at the AGM we are going to try to provide the occasional project kit for use at the crop and we've explained below how these will work:

Project Kits:

The object of providing kits is to encourage attendance at the monthly crop and the number of kits available each month are limited, we have set the following conditions:

Kits will be as usual provided at cost price.

We will show a taster of the kits on the website.

Unfortunately you cannot order a kit except by attending the crop.

There will be an opportunity for you to put your name down for a kit at the crop a month before the kit is available.

Only one kit per person.

Payment will be taken in advance (as we have to order and pay for the stash in advance).

If you do not attend the crop to claim your kit and someone attending would like a kit, your kit will be sold to them and your money will be refunded.

If you do not collect your kit and it is not sold then we will keep the kit for you until the following month.

If your kit is still not collected at the following month’s crop we will again give other members the opportunity to purchase it.

If there are more people wanting a kit than we have kits available, we will try to obtain further supplies but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to. As we have mentioned before it is very difficult for us to obtain stash for kits in large quantities.

We hope you understand the reason for these conditions, but as we explained at the AGM we need try to encourage regular attendance at the monthly crop or the club will not be able to afford to continue.

If you have any questions just come and see us at the crop.

April Project Kit

Here is a sneeky pic of the kit for the following crop on the 26th April, the cost will £4.35 and more details will be revealed at the crop.

Happy scrapping ...Chris & Jackie

Next Crop - 11 January 2009

Happy New Year - hope you are ready for another bumper year of scrapbooking. Chris and I would like to say thank you to everyone for supporting the crop over the last year....and we are looking forward to another exciting year.

The first crop of the year will be on Sunday 11th January 10.00am until 4.00pm. The annual membership fee is due and I’d be grateful if you could complete the Membership Form I've e-mailed to you, and bring it with the necessary fee to the crop, if you havn't received a copy please let me know.

Crop Project:

The project will be a 12x12 layout using two sheets plain cardstock and 3 photo's, to complete the project you will need:

2 – 12x12 sheets cardstock (I've used black and cream)
1 portrait photo 10x15cm
2 x portrait photos 5x10cm
Ribbon to co-ordinate with cardstock

But don't forget there will be plenty of cardstock available at the crop.

All those who are taking part in the circle journal may wish to spend the time working on their journals. Chris and I will be on hand if anyone needs assistance.

Craft Fair

We hope to organise a trip to The Great Northern Papercraft Extravaganza held at the Showground in Harrogate this show is held twice a year on the 28/29th March (Sat/Sun) and 12/13th September (Sat/Sun), unfortunately both dates clash with Crop dates, if you are interested please let us know which dates/days you prefer, we will have to go with the majority vote and will need to know the numbers as soon as possible so we can organise and get prices for the bus etc.

Savings Scheme

Following the success of last year’s saving scheme we’ll be doing the same this year, starting in February. You will be able to save as little or as much as you want to help pay for the trip to Harrogate and the 12 Hour Crop to be held in October.

Looking forward to seeing your all again in a couple of weeks.

Regards... Jackie* and Chris
