Next Crop - 29th March

Its time to remind you all that the next crop is on Sunday 29th March, hope you can all come and join your friends for a fun day of scrapping.

Following on from the members request at the AGM we are going to try to provide the occasional project kit for use at the crop and we've explained below how these will work:

Project Kits:

The object of providing kits is to encourage attendance at the monthly crop and the number of kits available each month are limited, we have set the following conditions:

Kits will be as usual provided at cost price.

We will show a taster of the kits on the website.

Unfortunately you cannot order a kit except by attending the crop.

There will be an opportunity for you to put your name down for a kit at the crop a month before the kit is available.

Only one kit per person.

Payment will be taken in advance (as we have to order and pay for the stash in advance).

If you do not attend the crop to claim your kit and someone attending would like a kit, your kit will be sold to them and your money will be refunded.

If you do not collect your kit and it is not sold then we will keep the kit for you until the following month.

If your kit is still not collected at the following month’s crop we will again give other members the opportunity to purchase it.

If there are more people wanting a kit than we have kits available, we will try to obtain further supplies but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to. As we have mentioned before it is very difficult for us to obtain stash for kits in large quantities.

We hope you understand the reason for these conditions, but as we explained at the AGM we need try to encourage regular attendance at the monthly crop or the club will not be able to afford to continue.

If you have any questions just come and see us at the crop.

April Project Kit

Here is a sneeky pic of the kit for the following crop on the 26th April, the cost will £4.35 and more details will be revealed at the crop.

Happy scrapping ...Chris & Jackie

Next Crop - Sunday 1st February

Hope you are all looking forward to the next crop.

Circle Journal: Don't forget all those taking part in the Circle Journal will need to bring their journals ready to pass on. Make sure they are in a box or bag to keep them safe and help prevent them from getting damaged. If you aren't going to be at the crop please let us know asap.
Crop Project: is a 12x12 layout with one large photo and some bits of patterned of paper, its a good layout to use up some of those scraps you've got lying around and have been scared to throw away. Lots of distressing and inky edges too.

Tools you will need:
Trimmer, scissors, sandpaper, ruler, pencil, chalk ink pad, fancy edge scissors and/or edge punch.

Materials required:
1 sheet 12x12 plain cardstock
3 - 4 pieces of co-ordinating patterned cardstock/paper
Landscape photo 7"x5" (minimum size)
Ribbon/lace
Swirl shapes (or cardstock to handcut your own - we have some templates at the crop)
Flowers (1 large and a few smaller ones)
Brads/diamantes for the centre of flowers
Journaling card
Lettering for title (stamps or sticky)

Apologies for the layout above, I did this in a hurry using digi papers and elements, I'll try and create a real layout for the crop...

Trip to Great Northern Papercraft Extravaganza - Saturday 28th March: The cost will be approx £9 per person for the bus and £2.50 entrance fee. If you havn't got your name on the list and would like to come along please let us know asap. Details of departure/return times will be confirmed once we have confirmed the bus.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the 1st.

Next Crop - 11 January 2009

Happy New Year - hope you are ready for another bumper year of scrapbooking. Chris and I would like to say thank you to everyone for supporting the crop over the last year....and we are looking forward to another exciting year.

The first crop of the year will be on Sunday 11th January 10.00am until 4.00pm. The annual membership fee is due and I’d be grateful if you could complete the Membership Form I've e-mailed to you, and bring it with the necessary fee to the crop, if you havn't received a copy please let me know.

Crop Project:

The project will be a 12x12 layout using two sheets plain cardstock and 3 photo's, to complete the project you will need:

2 – 12x12 sheets cardstock (I've used black and cream)
1 portrait photo 10x15cm
2 x portrait photos 5x10cm
Ribbon to co-ordinate with cardstock

But don't forget there will be plenty of cardstock available at the crop.

All those who are taking part in the circle journal may wish to spend the time working on their journals. Chris and I will be on hand if anyone needs assistance.

Craft Fair

We hope to organise a trip to The Great Northern Papercraft Extravaganza held at the Showground in Harrogate this show is held twice a year on the 28/29th March (Sat/Sun) and 12/13th September (Sat/Sun), unfortunately both dates clash with Crop dates, if you are interested please let us know which dates/days you prefer, we will have to go with the majority vote and will need to know the numbers as soon as possible so we can organise and get prices for the bus etc.

Savings Scheme

Following the success of last year’s saving scheme we’ll be doing the same this year, starting in February. You will be able to save as little or as much as you want to help pay for the trip to Harrogate and the 12 Hour Crop to be held in October.

Looking forward to seeing your all again in a couple of weeks.

Regards... Jackie* and Chris

12 Days of Christmas

I hope you all had a fab Christmas and enjoyed the festivities. I promised to post the pages of my 12 days of Christmas album, well I was lagging behind a bit and managed to finish it last night, its a good job I kept some notes. Don't forget to bring yours to the next crop so we can all admire them.

I didn't included the journaling pages as it would have been too much to scan.

Keep an eye on the web for details of the next crop....
Have a good new year... Jackie*

Next Crop - 14th December

Hi Girls

AGM - thanks everyone who attended the AGM and for all your comments, suggestions and volunteering to help with the Crop, your contributions are greatly appreciated.
Chris and I would also like to thank everyone for the lovely note asking the AGM to record your thanks to us for putting together the 12 hour crop, it means a lot to us, we loved putting it all together and when it ended in such a fantastic day with such fantastic girls well it was worth it and we are also looking forward to the next one.

Hope you are all ready for the next crop. We'll be doing our first journaling page in our 12 Days of Christmas Album, we'll take a group photo and then everyone can get starting writing their first journaling page. Help will always be on hand so don't forget to ask if you need help. Don't forget to bring along the journals you made.

Christmas Party - some of you kindly offered to bring some food (I'll send an e-mail with the list of who is bringing what just in case you've forgotten), don't forget your party hats, tinsel and some music.

Circle Journal - anyone who hasn't put their name on the list and would like to take part please let me know - we'll be starting in January which will give everyone plenty of time to get prepared - details will be circulated during December.
Finally, if you missed any of the above and would like to take part ie: help with the crop, create the 12 days of Christmas Journal or join in the Circle Journal please send us an e-mail.
Look forward to seeing you all on the 14th.

Merry Christmas... Jackie
